Testimonials
“I’m taking an Algebra II and Trigonometry tutoring class. I had a little trepidation on having to get help in this subject, but after the first five minutes of meeting Mr. Grizzard my “fear” (so-to-speak) vanished. The one-on-one hitunelp, plus the way he explains the material better than my teachers have has tremendously helped me in improving my grade. I recommended him to anyone who is not math inclined.” -Zoe, now a BHS grad
“Phil tutored me in Algebra II just a few days before my final. I’m pretty sure that without him, I would have failed it. He taught me efficiently and went at my pace, explaining things to me in a way that was easily understandable. He even made the process fun with his witty humor. I would recommend him to anyone.” -Remmy Ruiz, now a high school grad
Welcome! Thanks for visiting the Ph.G. Math Tutoring homepage. My name is Phil Grizzard, and I’m a private math tutor in Bloomington-Normal, IL. I have a Ph.D. in math, and I’m also secondary education certified in the state of Illinois. This enterprise began with me as the only tutor, but we have now expanded to multiple tutors, all specializing in mathematics.
We tutor virtually all levels of mathematics, along with math-heavy courses such as statistics. We tutor middle school, high school, beginning college, and even advanced college levels. We can help you for the short-term to get you through an exam, or for the long term to help you through a course or sequence of courses. No matter your material level or confidence level, we’ll meet you where you are and help guide you to where you want to be.
I invite you to take a moment to browse our website. If you are a student who would like to schedule an appointment, we’d be happy to set up a free consultation. Send me an email at phil@phgmath.com or give me a call at (309)750-7925. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian make the initial contact with me. If you are an interested parent or guardian, you don’t need permission from your student to make an appointment!
Thank you for your interest in Ph.G. Math Tutoring, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Happy learning!
Phil
